chapter 5-6

This boy named Alan comes along one day while Sophie and David are playing in water and asks who Sophie is and then looks at a rock with six toe prints on it. They knew that he was going to tell other about it so Sophie and her parents have to get out as quickly as they can.

Chapter 6
In this Chapter David tell Uncle Axel that he knows that there are more think shapers than just him and Rosalind. And this is when we really find out how much David trusts his Uncle.

In chapter five i  think that that really sucked for Sophie and her parents because of that Alan kid to bad he didn't keep his mouth shut. If it were me i would like kidnap him so that he can not tell anyone about Sophie's six toes. And in chapter 6 i think that David is really taking a leap of faith when he tells Uncle Axel these things but i think that they can trust him with there secrets.

chapter 15 16 17

In chapter 15

David is helped by Sophie and is brought back to her cave/ house. And i thought that was cool because i thought that Sophie died and that was a weird but cool twist.

In chapter 16-17

The Fringe people try and ambush the Norms with a terrible result there is a big battle going on and Sophie, Gordon/ Spiderman and Davids father die in the attack and then the Zealanders come in on a helicopter and kill everyone and take David, Rosalind and Petra back to sea land.

This book was very good i enjoyed how the Zealanders came in on the chopper and killed everyone but it sucks that Sophie died and that Spiderman also died that part kind of sucked. Although most of the book i thought that Sophie was already dead. But it sucked how the author took her out of most of the book and then put her in for a short time only to die. But it was definitely a good book and i would recommend it.

chapter 13-14

In The novel the Chrysalids we find out that in chapter 13 Petra is still communicating withe the Zealand woman. And the Zealand woman sends help for Petra. And then in chapter 14 they get kidnapped not by the army of people that Davids father sent but by the Fringes they are kidnapped and are held in these side bags for the massive horses. Then David gets out and starts talking to the spider man. And finds out everything that he believes in is so different than how the fringes look at it. Then David finds out that spiderman or Gordon storm is his uncle....


That was a weird twist that i did not see coming but i like how everyones related in some ways like Sophie, Rosalind and now spiderman.

chapter11-12

In the beginning of chapter 11 it starts with Petra calling for help cause she went into the forest with her pony. And David and all the other telepathic people come running to help but that is when they all see each other face to face for the first time which i thought was pretty cool but must have been really awkward for them as well. In Chapter 12 David, Petra and Rosalind run away because they have been found out they steal Rosalind's Fathers Horses and book it. Petra tries to talk to the people far away but has no great luck. And then they are told that there trail has been found by Michael and they all run to try and make it to the fringes. I am excited to see what will happen next. I hope they all make it to the fringes.

chapters 9-10

In chapter nine we find out that Petra has telepathic powers which was very unexpected. And in chapter nine Petra falls into a river and than controls David like a fish line in his mouth and pulls him over to save Petra. Which was cool they come to the conclusion that Petra is not one of them but she is more powerful then they are. In chapter 10 Anne announces that she will be marrying Alan and then Uncle Axel suggest that they should kill Anne and then they find Allen dead with an arrow through his neck. And Anne hangs her self and writes a note of names of all the Telepathic people but Rachel finds the note first and destroys it. This was a really close call they should not of been so open about their names and location to keep each other safe from Davids father. Because if one of them happened to have been caught all of their positions could be given away then it would be easy picking.

chapter 7-8

In chapter 7-8 Davids mother has a baby and they all knew that she was pregnant but nobody was allowed to talk about it until the inspector comes to visit to inspect it. Then he comes and Davids mother gets a certicicate of being normal. Then her sister comes with an abnormal child. And she wants to get Davids mothers certificate of normalness. And Davids Mom said no and then her sister was found dead. And no one really seems to care.

summary of chapter 3-4

In the novel the Chrysalids there are many things going on between David and Sophie they are hanging around each other basically everyday and they seem to be falling in love with each other. When David gets this feeling that Sophie's Father does not like him. In the book they also got to one of Davids favourite spots where he shows Sophie a steam train they have a brief argument between each other about it and David brings Sophie back home.

In Chapter 4
Once when David is not with Sophie he spends time talking to Rosalind his half cousin. They are not having a normal conversation though they are speaking to each other through their minds. This is when we find out that David can communicate with people through his mind(Telepathically). Uncle Axle finds David seemingly talking to him self and finds it strange. So he asks questions of David then David tells him that he can talk to certain people through his mind.

I think that there is a relationship starting to form between David and Sophie and that they will fall in love together. And I think that Uncle Axle will tell Davids father  about his strange conversations with his cousin and that David will be disowned and go live in the forests.

Chapter 1-2

The Chrysalids chapter 1-2 This story is about people who survived Nuclear warfare. And are now try8ing to survive on their own. The main boy David goes to the wild. To slide down a hill and a girl names sophie comes and slides along with him. they slide and they are enjoying it. Then sophie goes down for her third attempt and doesnt move. So David tells her to move and she is in so much pain she cant move. Then David finds out she hurt her foot. And for some reason she refuses to allow him to take her shoe off of her foot so that she can get free. She finally allows him to take her shoe off. He takes it off and doesnt realize that sophie has six toes because her foot was so bashed up. David goes to Sophies house and talks to Sophies mom and is told never to tell anyone about her sixth toe. So he promises not to tell anyone. And then he goes back home where he recaps on how is dad is a perfectionest and will not even allow a two headed piece of corn to grow.
